Teaching Internet SafetyIf your not sure when to start talking to your kids about Internet safety, start early. The sooner the better from toddler ages on up. After all, even younger children see their parents using all kinds of communication devices. From laptops to desktops, cell phones and iPads, blackberries, androids and other devices that allow for online access.

As soon as your child is old enough to start using a computer, a cell phone or any web enabled devices, it’s time to begin talking to them about online behavior, security and safety.

As a parent, you have a golden opportunity to talk to your kid’s about what’s important before anyone else does. The time you invest in doing this now may save you a lot of grief in the future. Your influence is greater than you may realize, even if your trying to provide Internet safety tips for teens that may, at times, resist your best intentions and efforts to insure their safety and well being.
